Jim Barber

My family started attending MC3 Church in 1993 and I joined the staff in October 2017, a few months after retiring from a 38-year career with Georgia Power, Southern Company and news reporting. As administrator for the church, I do pretty much what nobody else wants to—overseeing budgets, facilities, the website, etc. I enjoy leading C-Groups and Bible studies. Outside of church, I love playing tennis, reading, writing (my first novel Plowed Fields was published in 2019) and climbing Stone Mountain almost every day. Becky and I have been married since 1984 and have three daughters, two son-in-laws and three grand dogs.
